Sessions with a Therapist
If you would like to speak to your therapist before the first session, all therapists at the centre offer an initial phone call. However, some clients prefer to wait until their first session and talk then.
We recommend an initial 90 minute session, after this you can agree together both the length of the next session (60 or 90 minutes) and how long is needed until the next appointment (if required).
The aim of the therapy is to help you move on in your life as quickly and as effectively as possible, this is why we don’t ask you to sign up for a set number of sessions.
The human givens approach is fluid and flexible, allowing your therapist to use the techniques and approach that are best suited to your needs, whilst using the human givens guiding framework to help you in as fewer sessions as possible.
